Chapter 03: Flushed down

Yuudachi
After she seem to be done I calm down for a moment just to see that she moves us under the shower head. “Hold on tight!!!” I scream and try my best to get a hold, but it’s pointless, the waterfall above us just wipes us down the sponge…the fall to the ground is pretty long and I try to swim against the stream of water, but it is useless. It’s just too much so I’m washed down the drain as I scream loudly. I try not to breathe in when I move down the pipe but that doesn’t work out at all and I think I’m going to drown here…..lucky me. we come out somewhere soon. It’s a dark and stinky place and I swim over to the first thing that looks like land I can see, and take a few deep breaths before I look around. “Aoko!!? Are you here somewhere!?” I yell and try to find her in the dark…water…

Aoko
Everything seems to happen way too fast and before I can even think about what’s happening I’m washed away with the current of the water and fall through the drain and splash somewhere horrid below…I can’t see anything, and the current is a little strong so I’m having difficulty staying afloat. I can hear Yuu’s voice, so I try swimming towards it. “I’m over here Yuu! It’s…so hard…to see anything…” I shout in her general direction.

Yuudachi
“Just follow my voice!” I yell so she can swim to my position, “What do you think…where are we?” I ask her as soon as she makes it out of the water, even though I think I already know which makes me feel even worse. ‘And on top of that…how do we get out of here?’ I think, looking around a few times, only to see black in every direction cause there are no lights down here.

Aoko
I head towards Yuu and grab onto her and the land she’s on. “Well, we got washed away so…I think we’re…in the sewers!” I exclaim, recoiling in fear for what I might be moving across, “I suppose, if we want to get out, we’ll have to follow this to the end, wherever it may lead…”

“Looks like it…I hope we get out of here pretty soon, I don’t wanna see any rats or anything…and I definately don’t want to be food for any animal!” I say and continue to try and look around in the hopes of finding something, or somewhere we could go to begin with…

“This is a pretty scary place…” I say, shaking a little, “Our best bet to get out would be to find something big enough to take our weight that’s flowing along. It would be the quickest way out of here, and wherever this water is flowing has to come out outside somewhere.” I look around for anything in the water, and notice something like a large twig coming towards us. “Like that!” I say and indicate it to Yuu, “What do you think?”

Yuudachi
“Yeah you’re right. I just hope that we don’t end up in the ocean or something” I say when she tells me her idea. I look around with her and see that twig too. “I..kinda hoped for something that looks more like it won’t roll around when we’re on it…” I just say, maybe a wood plank or something else more flat.

“Yeah, you’re right…” I say, sighing. However, it looks like we’re finally getting a lucky break because only a few moments later a wooden plank does turn up, and it looks pretty dry on the top too! “Well, at least something good is finally happening to us!” I say, grabbing Yuu’s hand and getting close to the edge so that we can jump on as it passes us by.

Aoko and me just wait while I hear some weird sounds around us in the dark that realy begins to scare me. Lucky for us we find a wooden plank coming past, Aoko notices it and grabs my hand before we jump onto the plank together. “Okay..now let’s just hope that this will be an easy ride…” I say and am still so scared that I’m looking around and shake a bit, I’m completely wet and it’s so cold down here. “When we get out of here, let’s just find someone that looks nice, even if she keeps us as pets it’s definitly better than being where we are right now. Or even just get a ride home with a girl…”

Because we’re still holding hands when we get on the plank, I can feel Yuu shaking and I can’t help but shake a little myself. “I agree, I can’t think of anything worse than what we’re going through right now…” I say as I try to adjust to the wooden plank rocking around when we go round bends in the pipes. “Just tell me when you want me to let go, I’m just cold…” I mumble as I pull myself close to Yuu and hug her a little, since we’re both wet and shaking.

It feels somewhat warmer and comforting, knowing Yuu is with me in this awful place. I calm down a little as I’m hugging her, but at just that moment there is a jump downwards in the water and we only just manage stay on the plank. “Ahhh!” I scream as I hold on tight, being splashed a little when we land. It’s hard to tell, but I can hear some growling around us. I’m not sure if it’s my imagination, but suddenly a giant set of claws swipe down in front of us, throwing us off balance. “What the hell is that?!?” I shout as something emerges into the large pipe we’re in, blocking the path so that the wooden plank can’t keep moving.

I scream with Aoko and do my best to hold onto her and stay on the plank, when I see the giant claws next to us I barely avoid blacking out…it’s so scary, I hold onto Aoko even tighter, and start to cry. The last thing I want to happen is to get eaten by some kind of animal….

Aoko
It’s unbelievable, but I think we’ve actually ended up right in front of an alligator! Yuu’s starting to cry, and although I’m absolutely terrified I realise I’ve got to do something or we’re going to end up a snack for the beast. “Yuu, we’ve got to get out of here. Now!” I yell at her as I get to my feet. The alligator opens it’s mouth, and we’re right in front of the sets of teeth, widening like a giant door. The water starts to flow into its mouth, including the plank we’re on. I see a small area nearby that we might be able to jump to if we get lucky, but we’d have to time it just right. “Please, get to your feet!” I start begging Yuu, crying as well as we are being closed in by big sharp teeth all around us.

Yuudachi
When I see that giant alligator, why it is even here in the sewers I have no idea, I’m even more scared. At least Aoko seems to not be scared like me, she tries to find a way out and already seems to have one when she is begging me to get onto my feet. It’s kinda hard for me but I do and together we jump to the area next to us. I just lie there for a moment, scared, crying, and totally exhausted. But we definitly can’t stay here for long…

Aoko
The alligator snaps its jaw shut, the wooden plank breaking apart and pieces fly everywhere. It looks around for a while, trying to find prey. It hasn’t spotted us yet, but it might have heard us so we have to get moving. I kneel down in front of Yuu and pull her towards me so that we are looking face to face, tears streaming down our faces.
“Yuu, I know you’re scared. I’m scared! But we have to avoid getting eaten and find a way out of these sewers, so please get up and let’s start running!” I say as I look back at the alligator occasionally, hoping it hasn’t seen us yet. It looks like there is a small side tunnel nearby, we could get away through there…

Aoko pulls me up to her and says a few true words, even though they don’t help us getting happier or anything. “I…I know…” I say and try to wipe the tears out of my eyes and look around to see a small tunnel. “There, we can get in there, maybe away from that giant alligator too!” I say and rush over to the tunnel, pipe, or whatever it is.

Aoko
I follow Yuu into the tunnel, and although it looks good I soon realise we can’t go any further. “Wait, it’s a dead end??” I exclaim in fear, only to then hear the alligator moving towards us as well, since it must have noticed us moving. I turn around as I back into the end of what I can only assume is a cup, and see the alligator’s mouth enter the top of the cup, moving our world around as it tries to makes us fall in so that it can eat us!

Yuudachi
When I see that it’s a dead and I just fall onto my knees and turn around. The alligator again. That only makes it worse. Thinking that it would eat us any second I can only cover my head with my arms and start to scream.

Aoko
Yuu starts screaming, and I can’t help doing so as well. The alligator shakes us back and forth, and I hold onto Yuu tight when suddenly its jaw disappears. It’s hard to tell, but I think the alligator knocked the cup we were in against a wall and we were dislodged. We’re alive!” I exclaim as I collapse, happy to be free and moving once again down the sewers.

I close my eyes and don’t really get what happens, but after a while I don’t hear the Alligator anymore, which makes things a little better. When we fall and stop after that I completely black out cause of all the stress from earlier.

Yuu blacks out, and although I want to stay awake to check for danger, I am absolutely exhausted after everything that has happened. I wake up to hear Yuu talking to me, and when I open my eyes I see the clear sky outside of the cup. “We’re free, seriously?!” I say with joy as I get up to join her, seeing the beach stretching out ahead of us. “This is great! “Yeah, you’re right…” I say as I get out of the cup after Yuu, “I guess we better get started then!” I start skipping up the beach, enjoying the feeling of the sand between my toes as I move. I walk a bit after Aoko while we go to the girls at the beach.
