Chapter 1: Start of a Nightmare

I’m the chief of the science club at my school and created a shrink ray a few days ago, but only could test it on some items until now. “That’s fine then, so for a start let’s check your normal stats.” I say and check her height, weight, and how much weight she can lift. “So…now that we’ve checked those three things, how do you feel right now?” I ask her and write down everything.

“Aha, okay, then we’ll go for the next height of about 75% of your original size.” I say and fire right away at her after I note everything. The girl slowly shrinks down a bit more, and as before her clothes don’t shrink with her. She should be about 123cm now.

I stare in awe as I shrink smaller, this time the change being much more noticeable as the desks nearby start to get closer to where my eye level is. My clothes begin to droop a bit more, and I start to try and hold them up now that they are several sizes to small compared to me now. “Umm, what am I going to do with my clothes if this keeps going?” I ask Sonica as I awkwardly stand there.

“well I didn’t lock the door for nothing, no one will see you so I’ll pick them up and place them somewhere safe when you can’t wear them anymore.” I say and do my usual checks on her body. “So, you could easily lift 10kg before…try again now.” I say and move my hand to indicate that she should go over to the 10kg weight again.

“Okay…that makes sense I suppose…” I say to her, although I feel like she could have just shrunk my clothes for me too. I go to the 10kg weight and try to pick it up. It seems quite a bit heavier, but after a bit of effort I am able to lift it. “This…certainly seems heavier now…” I say to her with a little bit of a grimace.

I see how she tries to lift the 10kg weight and note that as I always do, before I ask her the usual question. “And, how do you feel? Sorry that I’m asking you that every time but I have to note down everything.” I say and smile down at her, who is about up to my belly right now.

Well then, I’m done here for today.” I say as I close my notebook and place everything into my schoolbag including the shrink ray. I will finish the experiment anyway, and note in it that you broke the contract at this point in time. Now, be quiet in there, no one will be able to hear you until I get home.” I say as I close the cage and cover it with a black cloth before I take my schoolbag and leave the school with her.
